Thomas Riffelmacher

Tom is a Weatherall PhD scholar at the Kennedy Institute in Oxford. In his research he investigates the interplay of autophagy and metabolic regulation during differentiation of haematopoietic stem cells.
Before coming to Oxford, Tom completed a BSc in Biochemistry as well as a MSc in Cell Biology from the LMU Munich, which included research experiences with Prof Limbach at UC Cincinnati, Ohio and at the Max Planck Institute in Munich. He is entrepreneurially minded and interested in working at the interface of academia and industry.
