Helena Francis
Marketing Director
Helena Francis is a DPhil student on the Wellcome Trust programme for Chromosome and Developmental Biology. She is based at the Molecular Haematology Unit of the Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine, where she studies principles of gene expression using the α-globin locus as a model.
Prior to starting at Oxford, Helena studied Natural Sciences at the University of Cambridge, where she gained a BA and MA in Biochemistry. During her time there she also carried out summer internships as an Amgen Scholar at Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm and in the Research and Development branch of Procter & Gamble, Newcastle.
