Verena Kriechbaumer

Dr Verena Kriechbaumer is a researcher in Plant Cell Biology at Oxford Brookes University. Here she is working on proteins determining the structure of the endoplasmic reticulum and the biosynthesis of the plant growth hormone auxin.

Before moving to Oxford Verena carried out her PhD in plant genetics and biochemistry at the Technical University of Munich followed by postdoctoral employment at the Biomedical Research Centre at Sheffield Hallam University ans a short fellowship at Dankook University in Seoul.
Verena is interested in business and technology transfer and is involved in several BBSRC Networks in Industrial Biotechnology and Bioenergy and is teaching business for scientists at Oxford Brookes.
